I love strong women, anything Italian, and spending time with my family. I admire honesty and integrity in people, I listen to audio books on my IPOD, and would love to find the secret to weight loss because I have about 60 pounds I'd love to lose. Viosi
Inspiration
I started writing when I stumbled upon my family's history during World War II. In the town of San Leonardo Italy, my family has owned vineyards for centuries. Our vineyards flank the Moro River. During World War II, hundreds of Canadian soldiers lost their lives chasing away the Germans on my grandfather's vineyards. The family fled into caves and lived there for 10 months. My mother has terrible memories of this time because of the hardships they faced and the death and destruction they endured. We still own these lands. One day, I hope to write an anthology from the perspective of the civilians who lived through that terrible time. I want to visit the caves to truly appreciate how so many families carved out a life surrounded by cold, cavernous walls. I can only do this when I have truly experienced it first hand. In the meantime, I am writing historical fiction.
