Biography

Cyndia Depre was born in Iowa, and has lived in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Minnesota. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, with a second major in Finance, from Northern Illinois University. After running her own business for ten years, she closed the doors and began writing full-time. Cyndia now lives in a Twin Cities suburb with her husband. They keep an old boat on Lake Minnetonka and use it as often as possible. Besides reading, they love cooking, fishing, pets, and old movies.

Inspiration

Like many authors, I've always wanted to write a book. One day I piddled away an hour or so thinking what I'd like to see in a novel. I went to my computer and wrote the ending of Amanda's Rib. It took several years to write the beginning and middle, then rewrite it so people could actually read and understand it. Writing is hard work! Now I have the bug and can't seem to stop thinking of new ideas. Oblivious will be out early 2008, and I'm busy working on my third book. I love deep, three-dimensional characters, twists and turns, and lively dialog.
