Biography

I'm a retired psychotherapist who had a private practice in San Jose, Calif. for 25 years. I moved to Southern California 5 years ago to devote myself to writing, my first love. So far I've published 3 books: "Mind Magic, Techniques for Transforming Your Life," a self-help book, and "Remembrances of Times Past," A nostalgic collection of stories and photos recalling the way life used to be in the early part of the 20th century. This book contains hundreds of stories from people who lived then, vividly brought to life by over 250 vintage photographs. My 3rd book is "Inspirational Quotations From the Concept-Therapy Philosophy."

Inspiration

I was born in Toronto and moved to California when I was 30 years old, to escape the freezing winters of Canada. I always had a love of reading and a strong urge to be a writer. When I was about 9 my mom took me to the local library and got me a card, and I proceeding to read every book in the children's section, so they allowed me to go upstairs and check out some of the adult books. As a pre-teen I wrote a family newspaper on my old Remington-Rand portable typewriter, which was mimeographed and then distributed to our neighbors. (No copy machines then!) Now that I'm retired I finally have the time to pursue my old love, writing.
