    Biography

I was born in England and currently live in the Niagara Peninsula of Canada with my husband and our two black and white Persian Cats, Texas and Toby. In my real life, I'm a legal assistant. I was first published in 1999 and have about a dozen books to my credit with a another five due out over the next few months. I'm a dreamer and a romantic, and I love small furry animals, scary movies, and rock music. I enjoy to travel and have been to most of the major cities in the US. I've also been to Europe a number of times and my favorite place to visit is France, be it a big city like Paris or Marseille, a small seaside resort on the south coast, or the sunny, herb-scented towns and villages of Provence. I also enjoy cooking, especially Italian which is my husband's favorite. I'm a shopaholic. I adore clothes and...umm...SHOES! I love shoes. My husband tells everyone I have a hundred pairs of shoes, but the truth is closer to 30, or maybe 35, 40? I haven't counted them recently. I like to visit with friends on occasion, especially those I haven't seen in a while, but I'm not a very social person. I much prefer curling up with the cats and a good book to hanging out in a bar or fixing a smile on my face and trying to pretend "I'm enjoying this party, I really am."

    Inspiration

As a kid I could never stop at "I have no idea what happened next." If I didn't know, then I created my own reality. However, I was smart enough to add in some insurance, such as "What probably happened is..." or "I just bet he went to ___ instead of coming straight home." Later, after I left home, I wrote long letters to my mom that went on and on and on, and she just loved 'em. For me, writing is a combination of God-given creative talent, personal experience, and a spoonful of good oldfashioned commonsense to get me over the sticky bits. I love to write. I can't imagine not writing. I just hope that what I write gives people pleasure.
