Biography
Christyna was born with a mild form of cerebral palsy. She didn't learn to walk until she was four. Then when school started, the biggest obstacle was how the CP affected her handwriting. At age nine, a tutor was brought in to teach Christyna how to type. Although she hated the typing lessons, the typewriter turned into a tool by which she could open the doors of communication and, eventually, her imagination. She graduated from college and became a freelance writer. Her freelance work has appeared in such periodicals as Careers & the disABLED, The Newport (R.I.) Daily News, and Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul. The Butterfly's Dance is her first work of published fiction. She lives in Virginia.
