Biography

Rita Y. Toews is a Canadian author living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Her children's print book "The Bully: A Discussion and Activity Story" is in use in schools throughout Canada and the United States. Her short stories have been published in many mainstream magazines and short story collections. She has also written and published three children's electronic books. As well, Rita has written several novels with Hungarian author, Alex Domokos. "The Price of Freedom" won a Clara Award and an Eppie Award and has been produced for audio by Blackstone Audio. "Body Traffic", a novel set in her home town, has been published by a Canadian publisher. Their latest collaboration on "The Centurion" resulted in a second Eppie for the writing duo. Rita is an avid reader, gardener and quilter.
