Description

This work is an adjunct to the initial effort. This particular book is an outcome of research, and scouring various sources for the real meaning of obscure words and phrases. So often, we use words, which we may remain ignorant of its true meaning and or application at the time it was used. The intent for this piece is to alleviate this error by providing a summary of over 2,300 words. Most well educated/ read people would have an expanded vocabulary of this amount of words. Most however do not; this is not meant as a persnickety remark, but simply a statistical fact. Quite often, we may apply words repeatedly in our conversation and writing, which have a broader term than what the word is capable of containing. For the avid student of history, archeology, anthropology, literature and alike, this will be a valuable tool, an essential resource, or a quick reference. What this book does, is provides you with various words, in an alphabetical format, corresponding to today’s equivalent. This helps you to come to see just how those of the U.K. spoke and would have written down their thoughts and ideas. This is quite easily achieved since their spelling is phonetic.
