Description

For the first time in over 70 years, this masterpiece is back in print. Initially translated from Italian, this effort is the second time printed in English. This particular work has been pains taking completely re-edited. This is a 12th century masterpiece, which ushers the reader through an unparalleled experience of reconciliation and comfort through the efforts of Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. Angela takes us into a world of reconciliation and hold and presents a simple yet thorough support in the Eucharist, Scriptures, and prayer. It is during this same period, that Dante her contemporary wrote his infamous work. Angela’s Spirituality is a deep and personal recognition of just how far we have drifted from God, Christ’s life and sacrifice to reconcile us to Himself and our return and rest in His complete service to us. Similar to Bernard, Francis and others she contends that love is an essential component, which is infused within us, drawing us to Him, whom our hearts seek, “ Oh, gift above all other gifts, for You Yourself are love! Oh Supreme Good, You have agreed to make us know that You are Love and make us to love that Love, therefore shall they who come before Your Face be rewarded according to their love.” Her message can be summed up in a straight forward and simple concept, “Christ’s death, burial and resurrection is the summation of our reconciliation of mankind to God. We are to accept, Him as our Lord and Savior, allow the Holy Spirit to work within us, and find solace in Christ’s love. Without a doubt, this is the most compelling and moving work, my eyes have savored regarding His work for us. Indeed this is a masterpiece of spiritual literature.
