Biography

I have been writing since age 10. Started out writing short stories, illustarting them and sharing with family and friends. Writing has been my source of escape for many years. I'm eldest of five children to a woman I know is arguably the best mother in the world. I have won three editor's choice awards for my poetry in the years 2003, 2005 and 2007, been nominated several times for poet of the year and held semi-finalist twice. My upcoming book of poetry, Lemonade Street will soon be released(keep you posted). I love to dance, exercise(Taebo to be precise), sing, watch great movies. My wonderful husband, Rick and I both run and operate our own business(langoh.com) and we have an adorable little princess called Nina.I hope to get to know you (love making friends) and share some fun times with you. Inspiration

I had a very traumatic life as a child. For years I kept secrets that I should've made known. But I wrote them and filed them away, some stayed in my subconscious until I was forced to face the truth...my writing was born out of the ordeals that I faced. It was very theraputic. Life is so very beautiful now and I understand the reason and purpose of all that happened. I am inspired by almost everything and everyone who's touched my life. Sometimes I write as though someone were whispering the words into my ears--I sometimes write three to five poems simultaneously when I'm 'in the zone'. If I could live with nothing but a pen and paper, I would be satisfied...ummm well, add some food and water too...and shelter....and the people I love...oh what the heck! I just love to write.
