Description

King Isiah is a series of folk tales narrated by the Frog King himself. They are original, insightful, humorous and about life in the pond and its surrounding fields and woods. The prologue reads as follows: The Stories you are about to read were related to me, by an old reporter for a major southern magazine, who had kept them to himself for many years. It seems that he had actually conversed with an old bull frog king on numerous occasions and the frog had related a series of tales to him, tales of the frog’s life in the pond where he lived and other tales of some unusual characters, many of them human, who lived in the near vicinity of the king frog’s pond. The reporter had hesitated about making these stories public, fearing that no one would believe them and his well established reputation might become tarnished. When he was very late in life he decided to finally tell them to someone, that someone being myself, with the instruction to publish them only after the reporter’s death. I have kept them as he wished until now. The reporter passed away some time ago and not having any kind of established reputation of my own to uphold I’m now making these tales public. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. The Author and the index: Chpt. 1. Family History Chpt. 2. Moonshine Still Chpt. 3. Old Whiteeye Chpt. 4. Old Whiteeye again Chpt. 5.
