Now that you have created a profile, it is time to begin interacting. Check out Ernest Halford's profile, no friends, no favorites:
To change this fact, Ernest can go out, explore the community, and add some Favorites and Friends. Ernest happens to be a fan of Waking God, and would like to show it. He clicks the “nothing binding favorite” button on Waking God (Please note, you need to be logged in to see this button)
Ernest wanted to compliment Philip on the book, he can contact him directly by clicking here first:
And then Ernest can send Philip a message directly:
After chatting back and forth with Philip, Ernest wants to add Philip as his Friend on Nothing Binding. This is an easy process (too bad it's not always this way) you can simply click on his Friend link as shown below:
Ernest can also leave a comment any time he'd like by clicking on the comment link on the bottom right:
Once you have clicked on the comment link, you can type a comment and click on Post Comment to submit:
Also, you may have noticed the Digg button next to the “nothing binding favorite” button -
Digg is an extremely popular website that we have connected to. Digg is another company completely (after all, we aren't nearly this clever).
What is Digg?
Digg is a user driven social content website. Ok, so what the heck does that mean? Well, everything on Digg is submitted by the Digg community (that would be you). After you submit content, other people read your submission and Digg what they like best. If your story rocks and receives enough Diggs, it is promoted to the front page for the millions of visitors to see.
What can you do as a Digg user? Lots. Every person can digg (help promote), bury (help remove spam), and comment on stories... you can even Digg and bury comments you like or dislike. Digg also allows you to track your friends' activity throughout the site — want to share a video or news story with a friend? Digg it!
Nothing Binding has connected titles to Digg so that users can easily submit Diggs for their favorite titles. Digg is one of the top 100 sites on the web and is frequented by millions. By making it simple to Digg titles on Nothing Binding, we have opened yet another promotional channel for independent writers.
The first time you click on the Digg button on a Nothing Binding profile, you will be sent to Digg where you will need to join by clicking on the link as directed (the process to set up a Digg account is very easy):
Once you have created a Digg account and you are logged in, you can begin "Digging" all of your favorite Nothing Binding titles. Doing so will help promote the writer's work and increase visibility on the web. An added bonus is that Digg is a fun site to browse and read highly "dug" articles.
