“I want to convey time, place and character to my readers. I choose my settings carefully and want people to understand what the setting and history means for the story. Inspiration

All of my fiction is inspired by my love of the ocean and my fascination with lighthouses and the early years of the lifesaving service. I also like strong and independent woman who work to provide a home for their families and you will find strong women in my books. History is another love of mine and I love to transport my readers to the place and time of my story through the pages of my books. At this point in my writing career, I can find inspiration for a story in a picture, a conversation and many other things.
