Biography

Vicki M. Taylor lives in Tampa, Florida with her husband, Greg and their American Eskimo dog, Jack and Sun Conure parrot named Bailey. Greg's hobbies include photography, saltwater aquariums, and scuba diving. Vicki won't scuba dive with her husband but she loves to snorkel! Vicki was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but soon discovered she and snow and cold did not get along. After joining the U.S. Marines, Vicki spent time in Parris Island, South Carolina and then Twenty-Nine Palms, CA. Vicki moved to Arizona and had three wonderful children. With her children grown, Vicki moved to Florida and remarried. She sometimes misses having little ones around the house. Of course, that has all changed now that she's become a grandmother for the first time. Vicki and her husband, Greg may be living in the land of vacation, but their lifestyle is far from relaxing. By day, Greg is a computer programmer and also runs a couple of very busy computer networks and maintains a saltwater reef forum and a companion bird forum . With a degree in Computer Science and fifteen years of technical writing experience, Vicki retired from running her own technical writing consulting company. Greg indulges his hobbies of scuba diving and photography while Vicki is actively involved in local writing groups such as the RWA Tampa Area Romance Authors and was a founding member of the Florida Writers Association . She maintains a writers' resource forum and enjoys maintaining her own website and Myspace page and blog as well as blogs for her American Eskimo dog , Jack and her Sun Conure parrot , Bailey. Vicki also likes to fly stunt kites and collect teddy bears. When she can, she likes to sneak in some time to play World of Warcraft. Of course, reading and writing rank high on her list of to-do's. Some of her favorite authors include, Stephen King, Patricia Cornwell, Tim Dorsey, Lisa Gardner, Piers Anthony, Robert Heinlein, Linda Howard, Jodi Picoult, and a slew of others. Vicki enjoys reading criminal stories and other stories with a mysterious and horror -like influence. Her favorite author is Stephen King. She practically devours anything Patricia Cornwell releases.
