A teenager dies under questionable circumstances, rocking the lives of residents in a small Florida town. Another teen, held responsible for the death, commits suicide.
Not Without Anna, targets the modern issues of teenagers and their parents. It shows a town and its families torn apart when one teenager dies of questionable circumstances and the other is held responsible until two parents, on opposite sides of death, come together and force attention on the growing drug and alcohol problem in their community and vow to protect the community's future—the children. Katherine, shocked by her daughter's death, too late, realizes she had been out of touch with her daughter and didn't recognize the stranger Anna had become. Charles, helpless to reach his son, watches him slip away. He's unable to comprehend Mike's nightmares and depression as he deals with his girlfriend's death and his own guilt. Plagued with guilt, Katherine and Charles struggle to cope, privately and publicly, with this terrible tragedy as doubts and accusations torment them. Separately, they question the purpose of their life, blame their differing parenting tactics and loss of family values. Together they face the growing epidemic of drug and alcohol abuse among their children and seek the community's involvement and responsibility. They unite to support Katherine's crusade for a teen center and rally in laying the foundation for the building and the future world leaders—the children.
