    Biography

Steven Maus was born, and continues to live, in Arizona. He was homeschooled until he was fifteen, at which point he began attending CGCC. He remains a student of creative writing, a constant learner, and is hard at work marketing his new book, Madeline City and other tales. In his free time, he is working hard on his next novel, as well as a screenplay version of Madeline City, and the occasional piece of homework. He spends as much time with his friends and family as he can, and he works at the bookstore on the campus of CGCC. Doing heavy lifting every day before heading off to class helps him think, he says. In the evenings he writes fiction, both novels and short stories, as well as poetry, and he journals whenever he can.

    Inspiration

The stories that Maus writes come from within, though the things that trigger then to jump to the front of his mind are many and varied. Sometimes a country song will inspire a journey, or a smell will spawn an essay; it's really hard to say just what spurs the imagination onward, and that's just the way that Maus likes it.
