Middle-aged Canadian author desperately trying to scratch a living from writing mildly funny novels.
Look and Listen
Biography
I was born in Windsor, Ontario and moved to Toronto in the late-1960's. Most of my time here was spent in the commercial art business but in 1989, multiple sclerosis put an end to that career. Now, I live in Mississauga (a Toronto suburb) on a tiny disability pension with my wife and two kids. Making a living through writing is my dream now and with fifty six years of zany life behind me, there's a fair amount of personal content to write about, anyway - if I could only find someone who's interested in reading about it! Note: None of my writing is about the disease or the woes I endure every day, bla, bla, bla. I write humor, not misery.
Inspiration
My first novel is called "Brian's Brain" (an unfortunate title, I know) and it's based on many of my own experiences during the 1960's in the hippie-infested downtown core of Toronto. The characters and story are fictional but based on the personalities of people I knew in that time and place.
