Biography

Born on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad, but grew up in England, where I eventually joined the British Army, before returning to the land of my birth. After dabbling in our family business I returned to England to become a Commercial Aviator and then returned to fly with B.W.I.A. the major airline of the Caribbean. While an airline pilot I published the first flying guide for the Caribbean appropriately named "Caribbean Flite Guide". Following a protracted strike in 1978 I left the airline and began a Corporate Aviation business and FBO. My flying exploits became the subject of my second publication "To be a Pilot", which has just been released. In 1987 I moved with my family to the United States to become a partner in an aviation business in Miami, but eventually I gave up flying to concentrate on a commercial career in Real Estate. I retired at the and of 2009 and now enjoy a very busy life pursuing what I love.

Inspiration

I have always enjoyed reading and writing - usually about current or historical events, especially if they involved famous personalities. I read Churchill's Second World War before I was sixteen and since that time have been particularly interested how such few persons have influenced the course of history. My varied careers, in different parts of the world, exposed me to events that I realized were historically notable, but it was my family and friends who urged me to share my experiences. I particularly have to thank my wife who, since the invention of the computer has, with patience, provided me with the opportunity to spend so much time reading and writing.
