Biography

I think I came out of the womb this time around with a burning in the pit of my stomach, perhaps lifetimes of experiences had finally caught up and my physical body could no longer sustain the density. I cried a lot. Those tears have since become souvenirs. My writing pulls back the veil exposing the inner world where Spirit and humanity dance;sometimes as painfully frantic and clumsy steps and other times, seamlessly and beautifully fused as one. The words capture in real time over the years, the hauntingly beautiful expressions of human emotions exposing the fragility of our human-ness because of psychological conditioning built on lies, but also highlighting the indomitable Spirit of our innate self refusing to be discarded and overlooked. ‘The still small voice persists even when we resist.‘ Let all who yearn for peace take heart because with sincerity and discipline, the practice to regain self-awareness dawns softly and the illusive inner peace we once thought impossible becomes our silent companion. These words chronicle one woman’s journey out of a crippling darkness. May peace be with us

My poems were a way of conceptualizing, acknowledging, understanding and releasing overwhelming emotional states through-out some very challenging years of my life.
