Biography

I'm a single Dad and retired computer skills instructor. I'm also a widower. Always believing I had a book in me, I started my first novel in 2005 and completed it in 2007. It is now available. We live in Ottawa, Canada. Being a writer justifies your existence. When everything else goes wrong, or nothing else is happening...you write or you say you are a writer. It is also true that nobody else really cares that you are writing. They probably think you are being uppity in saying so. Heck, I'm a writer.

Inspiration

My inspiration really came from one book and two authors. I never thought I could write very well and threw most of my writing out. Then I read 'Making A Literary Life' by Carolyn See Random House She says the way to write is just to do it. Sit down and write something every day, even if it is trash. She was right. Forging ahead regardless got the book written. The other author who inspired me was Kenneth Roberts. (Northwest Passage) I read his book 'For Authors Only' about his writing life.
