    Biography

I am married and have 3 grown children. I worked as a Registered Nurse for 40 years in various areas of professional nursing and never regretted any minute of it. Even though I have written as a hobby since I was age 8, I did not publish anything until age 60, after I retired. It was a great learning experience and I intend to keep writing. I feel that my self-published book called “I Thought There Was a Road There……and Other of Life’s Lessons from God”, seemed to be a success even though it was not on any bestseller list and was not distributed by major dealers in every bookstore. It felt like a success for me because some persons who bought the book and went on to buy 10-12 more copies and gave these to all their friends and relatives. Comments and letters from strangers, little old ladies in retirement homes, ministers, doctors, teachers, authors and other writers said “Your book has something for everyone,” or “I was laughing and then crying.” and calling my book “A collection of real-life inspirational pearls.” and “a blessing!” and describing my book as “bringing chintz & charm, danger and durability, humility and humor to everyday problems solved in unlikely, often serendipitous ways.”. Whether I sold 1000 copies or 10,000 copies this was my wonderful journey and I indeed count it as successful! My goal was to write what was inside me and hope that others could relate and enjoy my stories. My other interests are movies, archeology and genealogy. I enjoy people from all different walks of life, cultures and backgrounds. My web site is www.lasabooks.com.

    Inspiration

I love true stories about life and I don't read or write fiction. Even the small things in life can be inspirational......children, the elderly and human accomplishments. It is inspiring to me to learn about various people and their experiences and their courage under formidable circumstances. Also I am fascinated by different words and their meanings. My parents, my husband and my three children have always been my inspiration, in addition to my good friends.
