    Biography

I started writing in High School in Roanoke Virginia and was first published in my high school magazine called Sketches. I am a Sales Consultant for a major insurance company and have a Master's Degree in Adult Education. I began writing novels in 2000 when because I kept waking up in the middle of the night with the characters clammering in my mind and they just wouldn't be silenced. I have two novels from Hearts On Fire Books - a thriller, Sealed In Lies, and a Paranormal, Haunted Destiny When not writing I enjoy spending time with my wonderfully supportive husband of 26 years and my two teenagers. Our family dog Snickers is a constant companion during marathon writing sessions and is the perfect family member. No back talk! I live in Florida and enjoy all that living in the Sunshine State brings, boating, fishing, beaches, theme parks, and more. My favorite pass time is reading (what a surprise!) I like thrillers, romantic suspense, and romantic comedy. Some of my favorite authors are Nora Roberts, James Patterson, Karen Rose, Heather Graham, Linda Howard, and Kay Hooper. Inspiration

I once had an English teacher in high school named Cindy Henson. She's gone now but her encouragement of my writing will live on forever. I hadn't written anything since high school until one day one of my dear friends and I were talking about creativity. I mentioned my secret desire to write a book and that I'd been looking at "how to" books on writing. The next day my friend brought me a Barnes and Noble gift card and told me to get what I needed and to "Write that novel". I was so touched that I did just that. Its been a long road and I have three novels under my belt, two of which are published. I will tell you why I under took the journey. Nothing makes me happier than when someone reads my book and says "Oh, I didn't want it to end." To me that is the ultimate thrill and why I put fingers to the keyboard at all hours of the night. It's the thrill of knowing that I gave someone a period of happiness because I thrilled them, made them cry, or made them angry right along with my characters. That's what it's all about for me.
