Biography
Having studied English Language and Literature at college, I decided to leave writing as a hobby and train as a psychologist at the University of York, UK. I continued writing in my spare time, mostly short stories, but never thought about publishing anything - it was purely for fun. Then, after reading the Tales fo the City series by Armistead Maupin and seeing the success of the Sex and the City series, I felt there was a market for this style of comedy. Gay comedy fiction, however only had people like Maupin and Keenan that were successful and there didn't appear to be much else out there. That's when I decided to write my own story, based on my real relationship experiences and those of others around me - the truth is often stranger than fiction. I completed 'It's not me, it's you...' a couple of months ago and it is now available as a self-published digital book on Kindle, through Amazon, whilst I try and get a publishing deal. When not writing, I enjoy learning languages, travelling, cooking and lecturing in Psychology. Also, I'm a trained Reflexologist and have a private clinic at home. Hopefully, my first novel will do well and I will try and find the time to write the next!
Inspiration
I've been inspired by other gay comedy fiction writers, particularly Armistead Maupin and Joe Keenan. Their writing style has influenced my own and their sharp wit is what I aspire to achieve in my work.
