Biography
Gretchen Lee Bourquin writes of fiction, poetry, reviews, and blogs. She lives in the suburbs of Minneapolis with her two teens, cat, and two guinea pigs. She recently published my novel, "No Sensible People" and is working on another. She also has a poetry collection, "The Long and Short of It" -- both books are on Lulu.com. She has been writing for over 30 years and holds a BA in Literature/Creative Writing from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MNInspiration
Inspiration is something that is hard not to come by if you are paying attention. I grew up in the suburbs of Minnesota, went to college in a small rural town, and moved back to the city. I noticed the spirit of cooperation immediately following 9/11 and the way that cooperation fell apart afterward for all sorts of reasons that really shouldn't matter. Thus the title, No Sensible People. This story features less than perfect characters who have faced abandonment in their lives for less than good reasons. Even so, they are determined to meet their challenges head on and make things work.Favorite NB Titles
