Derrick Watkins is a nationally known Motivational Speaker, Trainer, Relationship Coach and Handwriting and Face Reading Expert. His talks on “From the Projects to a Penthouse, The Secrets Your Handwriting Reveals, It’s written All Over Your Face” and "Handwriting: The Key to Lasting and Loving Relationships and Love Sex and Relationships” have made audiences scream for more. Through Handwriting, he can find “The Ten Trouble Traits to Avoid While Dating.” Born and raised in a housing project, he has motivated and inspired audiences on how to discover their greatness just like he has discovered his! As the nations leading #1 Black handwriting expert and Relationship expert, Derrick has analyzed the handwriting of executives, corporate presidents, entertainers, sports figures as well as ordinary fun-loving people! Derrick is a member of the A Vision in Motion Speakers Bureau, the National Association of Business Coaches and Handwriting University. In addition, he is an adjunct professor for New Jersey City University Continuing Education Program. Derrick is certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Conflict Resolution, Handwriting Analysis and Relationship and Business Coaching. Derrick received his Masters Degree from Rutgers’s University and his bachelor’s degree from New Jersey City University. His enthusiasm and excitement for handwriting analysis and face reading and helping people find the love of their life so they can have the life that they love, has been described as contagious. He is a very popular speaker and trainer around the country and maintains his office in New Jersey.

Inspiration

My name is Derrick Watkins and I have lived (so far) a wonderful life. I am a single parent who is trying to leave behind a legacy that my daughter can be proud of I am a smart worker, team player and willing to learn new things to help others as well as myself grow. Early in my life, I set out on a mission to become a successful person that my family could be proud of. After enrolling in New Jersey City University where I was a star basketball player, I began to take an interest in Communication-Media Arts. While focusing on Television and Radio production, I soon graduated with honors four years later. Struggling to find work in my field of study, I found myself interested in helping people solve personal problems. In 1994, I enrolled in the Masters in Social Work program at Rutgers University and graduated with an MSW degree four years later. Feeling more could be done, I took a position as a Senior Counselor at a large community corrections program. This is when I discovered my gift for public speaking and communication. I work hard and was rewarded with a promotion (six-months later) to Unit Manager. Continuing to work smart and hard, I was promoted to Deputy Director six-months later. In this business, I was confronted daily with many men who looked like me but did not seem to have the drive to be more than criminals. For the next fifteen years, I studied success principles that included NLP, Conflict Resolution, Business Coaching, Relationship Coaching, Handwriting Analysis, Face Reading and I have written three books. In addition, my professional speaking and motivational coaching career has allowed me to be a regularly scheduled guest on the following radio shows as a quest: WURD-AM-The Al Butler Show in Philadelphia, PA. I have also been a quest on 98.7 Kiss-fm in New York, the nationally syndicated Al Sharpton show and The Ken Webb Internet Show.
