Biography

Beginning her amateur writing career at the young age of 9, she fervently wrote from her grade school years through her high school years, filling volumes of spiral notebooks with dark and emotional poetry. Graduating high school at the age of 17, she immediately started full-time work as a paralegal, alongside odd-part-time jobs to make ends meet. This left nil time for writing. At the age of 24, Deborah became a mother to her son, Nicholas. After a long pause from writing poetry, Simpson began again around the age of 30, when her insatiable need to write resurfaced. With her passion reborn, her poetry began reflecting philosophical, spiritual and ancient deliberations. Deborah’s poetry is written deliberately, not emotionally providing for the essential brilliance of interpretation by the reader. She maintains the absolute, unique ability to discern the esoteric pulse of the human core with words sated in profound depth, leaving an indelible impact. Much like our distinguished greats, Deborah’s intellectual deliberations will leave you feeling nourished with completeness, while offering never before imagined journeys of the human psyche. Her inspirational writing is intensely rich in spirit and endowed with truth. Her ability to step beyond the complexity of her poetry is unparalleled. Inspiration

Deborah's biggest inspiration for writing is drawn from nature. Her poetry uniquely identifies with the strength, mysticism and peace enveloped within our surroundings while eloquently infusing reality.
