Biography

I was born in the US Virgin Islands, but I was raised in Miami, Florida. I was a creative kind of kid and I can remember writing stories when I was twelve years old, as well as poems. I went to a small private school from kindergarten to my senior year of high-school, where I was surrounded with people from all cultures and I simply loved it. I really enjoyed visiting their homes and spending time with their families. That is why my books embrace people from various cultures because for most of my life that is who surrounded me; Caucasians , African Americans, Hispanics and Asians. I was very lucky to brush shoulders with the sweetest people ever. I even attended a multicultural university where I graduated with architecture and a minor in art. For many years I worked in the field of interior design, but I found myself scribbling down passages for stories that I rarely completed until a friend inspired me to write seriously again. I self published my first novel Second Best in 2012 and since then I have not looked back.

Inspiration

I have always been a hopeless romantic with a clear perspective of how I believed a love story should flow. I enjoy reading Jane Austen's novels because her characters are witty and bright. I have learned through her writings how to make much of love in the time period that we live in, that gentle, sweet and yet passionate side of love we sometimes overlook in this age.
