Biography

I was born on the gulf coast of Mississippi and grew up hearing parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts tell stories of their southern upbringings. It became a contribution of who I am today and a large part of the reason I decided to become an author. I have been fortunate enough to have become a successful songwriter with many of my songs recorded by several major artist but book writing (especially novels) have been a passion of mine for a while. "The World From A Schwinn" (my first novel) although a work of fiction, has a lot of truth to many of the characters and events because I based Taylor Denton (the featured character) and his story on my own life. It is a work I enjoyed bringing to paper and it's my hope that people will take the time to take a look at my work. I look forward to bringing more compelling novels to the public with aspirations of bringing something that others will enjoy reading.

Inspiration

As a songwriter I've always had a knack for writing life stories in 3 minute song. I have been wanting to write my first novel for sometime now and put it off for years. Once I launched into my first book it became both exhilarating and exhausting. My greatest inspirations have come from my own family with their story telling abilities. Being raised on the gulf coast of Mississippi and my family (on my fathers side) immigrating here from Finland gave me a foundation of rich heritage from which I drew from to become a story teller myself in written form.
