Biography

My friends call me Charlee and I am an authentic Sunshine Cracker: born in Florida, raised in Georgia. I am a multi-published speculative fiction author of over 65 novels. I write in the genres of SF/futuristic, erotica, dark romance, paranormal romance, horror, mystery/thriller, post-apocalyptic western and dark fantasy. I am published with Ellora's Cave, Cerridwen Press, New Concepts Publishing, Samhain Publishing, and Phase Books. I have been married 41 years to my high school sweetheart and we have two grown sons and two grandchildren. We are the slaves of six felines who are holding us captive. Please send clumping kitty litter! When I'm not writing, I like to read and have very eclectic tastes. I never miss books by John Grisham, John Sandford, Dean Koontz, John Saul, Andrew Greeley, Robin Cook, Michael Connelly, David Wiltse, Dennis Lehane, Christine Feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon, and J.R. Ward. I love anything Celtic and am a fan of Gerard Butler, Karl Urban, and Mark Ruffalo...I have all their movies. I am a fan of Lost, Supernatural, NCIS, The Closer, Ugly Betty, Burn Notice, Psyche, Scrubs, and Nip/Tuck. When I'm angry or hurt, I cook...something I'm told I excel at doing. Being from the South, you can bet there will be grease involved.

Inspiration

I devoured the books of Rosemary Rogers, Marilyn Harris and Anya Seton back in the 80s and wanted to write the same razor-edged romances those ladies created. The books are not for the politically-correct readers of today but for the women of my generation, they sizzled. They were books. Not a way of life.
