Biography

I was born and continue to live in British Columbia, Canada. I acquired a love of books very early and continue to be an avid reader. I have worked in a lot of different jobs including journalism, and once tried owning a used bookstore. That was before the internet came along. I kind of dabbled at writing for much of my life with no intention of publishing anything. I was hit by the publishing virus recently, and published a short story as an ebook. A creative nonfiction piece I submitted almost two years ago is supposed to be published in a print anthology later this summer. At present I working on a novel with the intention of publishing it.

Inspiration

I can understand readers wanting to know about the sources of a writers inspiration, but writers themselves are often afraid to probe their sources too deeply for fear of losing them. Some of my writing, but not my best writing, often starts as vent pieces not intended for publication,and turn into social satire. Healthy or Else is not one of my vents. It was written to dramatize a social trend that could easily go too far.
