Description

This is an inspirational true story for people who would like a little adventure in their own life. ‘Wild Summer’ tells the true story of a voyage around North America. This stage begins in Chicago and ends in San Francisco, visiting the Yellowstone super-volcano and encountering bears, elk, moose and whales along the way. A British couple buy a motorhome to tour right around America in a single year. In this book they travel west through the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Ocean and then south, through the giant redwood forests, to San Francisco. These are adventures for ordinary people, for those who are not mega-brave, amazingly-fit or super-rich. Anniversaries or even a New Year resolution will suffice to focus the mind and help to make things happen. Any year is a good year for an adventure and any excuse is a good excuse too. All we need is the inspiration, the determination and the desire. The first voyage, travelling through the worst tornado outbreaks in United States records, starting in Florida and ending in Chicago is told in ‘Tornado Spring’.
