Pirates, Saoirse and Giselle Marshall, confront the Royal Navy, and a surprise from their past.
In 1661 (The Captains Marshall: A Promise of Freedom) Saoirse and Giselle Marshall made their names as the “Dark Sirens”, girl-pirates of the Spanish Main. Four years later the girls make a decision to venture north. They have heard that England, their former home, had occupied a new colony which had been renamed New York. Aside from growing older, the Marshall cousins have changed in other ways. They are not as idealistic (some would say naïve) as they had once been and Saoirse finds herself in a loving relationship with her crewman, Tremain Kelly. Unfortunately for Tristan’s Bride and her captains a ship of the Royal Navy is keeping watch over the colony as well as a familiar face: Lieutenant Jacob Hardy. When Saoirse’s former fiancé discovers her presence he will stop at nothing to secure her, using his rank and taking, ultimately killing, a captive. The tragedy they suffer is great, but it is not over. One more book remains in the story of the Captains Marshall.
