My first book is coming out POD in late March 2008. As a long-time psychiatric nurse, the book, The Forgotten Future: Adolescents in Crisis, was relatively easy to do, given my background. The words flowed smoothly, the feelings of the young people with whom I had worked over the years were expressed clearly, the facts cited were simply that. Facts.
The knowledge about marketing and publicity, however, was acquired after the book was written. Learning how important it is that I have a web site and a blog, that I must regularly submit articles on my topic to directories, that I should comment on others' sites and blogs ... it's all so new to me. But it's all important, so I continue to seek information and ideas, and I will continue to scour the Internet to learn something new every day.
Please visit my (still in development) web site at www.debebel.com and leave any comments or ideas. And, thanks.
