Today we're going to talk about its, it's, your, you're, there, they're, their.

First of all, there's no such word as its'. Never, nohow, not in this lifetime, uh-uh. "Its" is, oddly enough, possessive without the apostrophe. (No wonder English is said to be the most difficult language to learn.)
Example: The picture looked perfect in its new frame. The garbage disposal did its job without difficulty.
It's = it is. It's time to learn when to use its or it's. It's nice to go out to eat occasionally.

Ya know, I think a lot of times authors' fingers just aren't in sync with their brains. They KNOW it's either its or it's, your or you're, there, their or they're.... but their fingers...oh, those fingers!! I catch Phil all the time on there, their and they're!!

There -- a place. Are we going there? Are we there yet?
They're -- they are. They're going with us. They're already there.
Their -- possessive. It is their place we are going to. I love to see their smiles.

Your -- possessive. That is your necklace. This is your chance to shine.
You're -- you are. You're going to love their necklace. You're going to have to learn to live with it.
