I was lucky enough to have a wife who is pretty good at that, she doesn't mind helping me, but she's not interested in starting her own service. Just likes helping me with mine. there are some Microsoft office progams you can purchase for your personal computer that really help alot to as far as grammer etc... But you just have to shop around, there are many out there, some expensive some not so expensive. Reading other published works will help you with your editing as well. Seeing how theirs is done. Gives you pointers on editing your own books, I edit as I go when writing. Then I'll have my wife go over the manuscript again when I'm finished and check for any mistakes I've missed or over looked. Then after she proof reads it and makes final corrections I then upload my manuscript for publishing. Createspace makes the process very easy. And there's no cost if you self publish. Unless you want extended distribution then it's $39.99 per title for that. To be placed on Amazon.com, there's no charge. Only if you want wider distribution.

There are several freelance editors like myself who are willing to work with indie authors and work within their budgets. If you have other writer friends online, they may have names they can recommend, or you can do an online search. :)
