    Biography

Zoe Winters' favorite colors are rainbow and clear. She lives with a husband and 2 cats. She began writing in junior high school. Though she wrote some short stories, she wrote her first novel when she was fourteen. It, of course, sucked. She experimented with several different genres including mystery, thriller, and children's fantasy, before settling on the genre she loves the most, paranormal romance. She has always had a love and fascination of vampires and werewolves and other things that go bump in the night, especially when they're sexy.

    Inspiration

The Television Series: Buffy the Vampire Slayer is probably my biggest influence. I think writers are influenced by everything around them. The music they listen to, the movies and television they watch, the books they read, all of it becomes grist for the mill. But for my genre, Buffy was what ultimately inspired me and led me into it. I discovered the show playing on reruns and I couldn't find the remote control to change the channel. I'd always thought the show would be stupid because of the name. But I fell in love with it immediately, the humor and sarcasm sounded like stuff I could have written (Not because I think I'm so great, but because that's how I think.) And Angel and Spike... yum. I always wanted Buffy and Spike to end up together but it didn't happen. That was when I stumbled upon Buffy fanfic, where I could get my Happily Ever After for my couple of choice. After awhile I wanted to read things that were "the same but different" which led me to discovering the paranormal romance genre and eventually writing some of my own. Favorite Authors include: Rachel Caine (though she's more urban fantasy), Cynthia Eden, Larissa Ione, Charlaine Harris (not romance, but paranormal and has romantic subplots), Lynsay Sands, Jo Goodman (historical romance), Kresley Cole, and Rosemary Laurey.
