Biography
Yvonne Jayne was born in Japan and took her first steps on a Pan Am clipper bound for Hawaii. She was raised throughout the United States and England. She graduated from the University of California, and headed east to attend Columbia University. Yvonne Jayne raised her children on an organic coffee farm on the Big Island of Hawaii. She counseled learning discouraged children, and eventually opened her own counseling practice for children and families. Yvonne Jayne's first novel is coming in August. It is an adventurous story about a veteran social worker who starts to melt down after removing a new born baby from its mother. To cope, he travels the underworld until he faces his true self and takes action.
Inspiration
Yvonne Jayne has always been fascinated by people. Throughout her travels to other countries and cultures, she realized there is a common human condition running through all societies. When the reach for security and happiness is blocked, humans become desperate, and will act in ways that are often contrary to their upbringings and conditioning. How people find their way back to themselves is the main theme of all literature. This is the focus in all of Yvonne Jayne's writing; whether she writes self-help or fiction, her drive is to explore the human triumph over the human condition.
