Writing and photography are pretty close to the top of my list of things I love, along with the southwest and travel. I was blessed to spend three years in Europe. My writing reflects all of those.

Biography
Francine Biere resides in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where she and her husband Chuck have lived for thirty years.
Francine is an award-winning journalist, editor, and photojournalist, with articles and photographs published in regional newspapers and Christian magazines in Arizona and Europe. She’s written travel columns and feature articles for secular publications. Francine is, an award winning public speaker and one of Arizona’s Outstanding Young Women of America.
In her first contemporary suspense novel, “Death in the Desert,” set in Cochise County, Arizona, journalist Meagan Wagner thought she could find safety after September 11th in her beloved southwest. She was wrong. I believe God speaks to all of us through His Creation. Looking at the beauty of a majestic sunset or the promise of a golden sunrise is more than a picture of nature. It’s part of God’s canvas that He creates each day. I believe that God doesn’t want us to get so bound up in “religious” things that we fail to see the wonder of what’s around us. It’s found in a baby’s sigh, a child’s laugh, or a human’s unique ability to love. These are the things that make life a joy. My desire is to touch others with God’s love and compassion and touch others. My love of the southwest has brought me face to face with incredible landscapes and history that is integral to the growth of our nation. I’ve seen how early settlers endured unbelievable hardships and succeeded. I’ve learned about faithful Christians who lived in the midst of wild and reckless people. And while the history doesn’t always paint that picture, I pray what I write will pique your curiosity to look deeper. History ... there’s much we forget about our beginnings. My historical series is designed for tourists visiting southeastern Arizona as well as those who have a love affair with the history of the Old West. My fiction helps paint a picture of life here in the high desert.
Inspiration
My desire is to touch others with God’s love and compassion through my fiction and share His creation through my historical series and photography. I’m certainly not an evangelist. But I know the Truth of God’s word and that each of us can touch others through whatever it is that God has given us to do. Whether it be an accountant, a teacher, a salesperson, or those who protect and defend our country, if we have acknowledged Christ as our Savior, then we have a responsibility to live our faith in everything we do. So how does someone touch others by writing something that doesn’t have much to do with God or Christ? They start by doing whatever they do with honesty and integrity. They follow God’s chosen purpose for their lives and do it in His strength and not their own. They accept the responsibility of not keeping themselves apart from the rest of the world but, instead, becoming a light to others.
