My life began on a small ranch at the foot of the California High Sierra. My early lif was spent outdoors as much as possible--and indoors reading the fiction in Good Housekeeping, Ladies Home Journal, Woman's Home Companion. first article sold at age 20.Teamed with photographer husband/WWII vet in production of travel articles for Westways and Parents Magazines. Addicted to the "write what you know" concept, I followed my three sons through co-op nursery school, cub and boy scouts, explorer, selling articles to Boys Life, Explorer Quarterly, and more recently producing articles ("Sassy Senior" for those enthusiastic about the "better half of life" ("Super Adults") I'm addicted to the "Ann Landers Syndrome--we're all voyeurs, seeking to know others. Wonderful people are everywhere.
My wonderful grandmother impressed on me early that only one person like me has ever existed or ever will exist. Therefore, "make the most of whatever gifts you have, and pick yourself up every time you fall down." That philosophy has served me thoughout a long life, and, true to my "write what you know" philosophy, the little story of my relationship with her has just been published in an anthology about wonderful grandparents.
