    Biography

Walter is a freelance writer living in South Suburban Chicago, who has previously ghostwritten a supplement and text on Small Business tax law for a Chicago lawyer, and numerous articles on Chicagoland history and travel for local newspapers, and an e-zine story on his wife, Joan's healing from breast cancer. He earned a BS in Sociology from Blackburn College, in Carlinville, IL, completed Roosevelt University's postgraduate Legal Assistant program, and completed the Institute of Children's Literature writing program. He is retired from 25 years as of work as an insurance claim's adjustor/manager for a number of Chicago companies and was a paralegal researcher and writer for two different Downtown Chicago law firms. He is currently the editor of the Chicago Writers' Assoc. CLARION monthly Newsletter, and had edited his 30 year-old charismatic Catholic prayer community's (now defunct) "PROCLAIMER" newsletter. Walter is a "born-again" Christian and former member of his prayer group's Board of Directors, until he couldn't keep the position due to illness and two near-fatal injuries in March 1996 and May 2002. His past physical history includes spinal meningitis as a teen, and a seizure disorder and left-sided paralysis. He and his wife, a retired special education teacher, have two children and five grandchildren.

    Inspiration

The credit for my writing success first goes to God who taught me patience over the long years before this story reached publication. I'm also thankful for the love that I received from Joan, my darling wife of forty years, and our wonderful children, Ken and Karen, and our grandchildren, Ariel, Nicole, C.J., Kasey and Kodie. I learned from my family how one can live an unselfish life. My eBook is a child's story, with illustrations, of how a husband and wife mice and their animal friends obey the Holy Spirit and prepare the Bethlehem stable for the coming of Mary and Joseph and the manger for the Birth of the Baby Jesus, the Son of God.
