Biography
I followed the "traditional" trail of life. I graduated from the University of Washington with top academic honors, served four years in the U.S. Navy and then spent the next twenty years raising a family. The latter was, by far, the most challenging. I worked in the investment field for nearly 30 years before retiring. I began playing tennis when I was about ten and continue to today. I've been the captain of numerous championship men's doubles teams in Florida. I have been writing for over twenty years and contine it also to today.
Inspiration
I never thought of myself as a writer. In fact English was my worst subject in high school. When I was about forty a friend, who was a writer, happened to ask me for some help with her novel. She was very impressed with my work and said, "you are a very talented writer. You should pursue writing." I already had a full-time career (plus family responsibilities)and I knew writers often lived in poverty for years. Nevertheless, in my spare time I began to write and the encouragement I received from professionals in the field kept me at it.
