    Biography

I have self published a volume of works called The Silurian on Lulu.com and on Smashwords.com The Silurian is the story of King Arthur like it has never been written before: an intimate first person narrative spoken by Prince Bedwyr, called The Fox, Arthur's foster-brother and closest friend. It is the narrative of their lives, from the day Arthur won his first battle and gained his rise to power, Bedwyr relates openly and honestly their most personal histories. So far, there are nine books in The Silurian series, with the final book, Book Ten, The Sons of Avalon, now in progress. Book One of The Silurian received an 'Honorary Mention' in the 2007 London Book Festival. Intense and passionate in my work, dedicated and diligent, almost indefinably unique, my aim is to offer reading matter that breaks the mould. In fact, I write outside of the mould. Iconoclastic and daring, I can only offer what is given to me to write in all honesty, with a lack of deliberate construction, writing from the heart, gut and soul... Review: ‘The Silurian – The Fox and the Bear’ is not for the faint at heart. It is very descriptive and adult geared with battle scenes and interior stories that will keep you reading until the very end. It is action packed with romance in amongst the struggles of the characters. I believe this to be a highly evolved piece of reading for those who are masters of the Saxon battling days of long ago. You must pay attention to this story in order to achieve the reading pleasure author L.A. Wilson has prescribed in this novel. Mind Fog Reviews ~ Anastasia Cassella-Young www.anastasiasbookattic.com

    Inspiration

King Arthur...write what you know, we are told as writers. I know Arthur. From the shape of the bones in his hands, to the intimate reasons in his soul, I delve deep and I write deep. It was the legends and myths of King Arthur that put me where I am today, and I often think that without him, I would never have picked up a pen to start my long journey to script his story as it came to me, fresh, new, and orginally put together. My mother in law once told me my writings were too clever for my own good, and I thought about this, and decided I could do it no other way. So clever and different is The Silurian that it often upsets those who seek the traditional written Arthur; that is the Lancelot, Arthur, Guinevere saga with the magician Merlin and the bad girl half-sister Morgan Le Fey. My work contains nothing like this, only allusions, hints, nods, winks, nudge, nudge, say no more, replacing the legends with men who wield swords that break, hearts that break, war, battle, love, friendship, the conpanionship of warriors, the rise to power, and the long fall to the final field.
