Biography

After raising 4 children my wife Tess and i could see the humor in the things that we once found stressful.Tess being a language arts teacher was able to help edit and contribute to the poems we composed over a period of several years. She also drew all the illustrations in the book. This book deals with some of lifes big problems such as finding 2 socks that match or what if you had an aunt that was really and insect.

Inspiration

I always knew that we could create a book for children and a book that would appeal to adults as well. My wife being a teacher was a wonderful editor and created several poems of her own for the book. Shel Silverstein created books that our children loved growing up and i knew we could create something with great rhyming and visual imagery as he did. Children and adults enjoy the outside the box view of things and Shel Silverstein certainly had the gift for that. Some of the funniest things in life happen in our own homes but we never put them on paper. My wife and i have took some of what happened in our life and put it in our book The Endless String
