Biography

I grew up and now live in the Pacific Northwest where I gained my love for the outdoors and the natural world. I have a degree in physics – having worked in astronomy, briefly in oceanography and in corporate R&D for a major computer and printer manufacturer. I am an avid reader who enjoys diverse writings from Vonnegut to Durrell to Ram Dass. I studied creative writing at Oregon State University. ‘The Long Take’ is my first novel.

Inspiration

Somtimes it's just a deep breath or saying "Om Mani Padme Hum." Or re-reading the prose of Durrell's Alexandiria Quartet or a Borges story or Liz Phair or running - maybe working up a good yoga sweat from the inside out. I'll think more about this question...
