Tim Baker
I try to make my reader think "this could happen to me". Give them a different way of looking at things and maybe even a few laughs.

    Look and Listen

    Biography

I was born and raised in Warwick, Rhode Island. After graduating from The Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1980 I embarked on a career in Architecture and Engineering. Along the way I have also worked in the natural gas industry, construction and ice cream sales. In my spare time I enjoy all sorts of diversions including sports of all kinds, music, photography, model building and, of course, writing. I also love dogs. I spent most of the nineties as a volunteer puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, raising and socializing potential guide dogs. I have also studied and taught martial arts. I have always been fascinated by Karma and the unexplained forces of the universe. This triggered my first serious attempt at writing in 1988 when I began writing a novel entitled Full Circle. It was a story about the far reaching effects that one man’s actions can have on people he has never even met. Unfortunately without the use of a computer or even a typewriter I shelved the project due to the difficulties of trying to construct a novel completely by hand (mostly writer's cramp!). Even though Living the Dream is my first published novel I still plan to finish Full Circle if I can stop all these other stories from getting in the way! Currently, I am enjoying life in Palm Coast, Florida. Please visit my website at www.blindoggbooks.com for more information and visit me on facebook and myspace as well.

    Inspiration

Inspiration... I guess the easy answer would be my love of a good story. I love to read that book that draws me into the story so completely that I don't want it to end. The act of creating a story gives me that same pleasure. My stories become part of me just as I become part of them and I take great pleasure in the thought that somebody might read one of my books and wish that it wouldn't end. One quotation in particular provided a good swift kick in the...inspiration "If there's a book you really want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it." ~Toni Morrison
