Biography

I was born in Iowa and spent years trying to get as far away from my hometown as I could. Once I achieved that, I couldn't wait to get back home! I fell in love with writing in the 3rd grade and always wanted to write a book. Life got in the way (hey, a girl has to eat) and after numerous career attempts I finally had the opportunity to write. The result is: A Complicated Life in a Small Town, my debut novlla.

Inspiration

I believe everybody has a story to tell. While "shopping" online for an illness for a character in my story, I found Prader-Willi Syndrome. It's a facinating genetic condition that causes people to eat non-stop or until they die in some cases. After doing the research, I was convinced that there must be many undiagnosed individuals in the world today. That was the inspiration for my book and also the inspiration for the sequel which I am currently working on.
