Inspiration
I took up journal writing when my husband and I left Canada for our first job as English teachers in China. We sold most of our possessions, including Frank's hand-built 12-metre sailboat, stuffed the rest of our things into a storage locker and flew to China. I kept notes, interviewed people and accumulated unique facts about teaching in China. The practical use of communism in the classroom became the catalyst for my writing THE LITTLE RED BOOK TEACHING ESL IN CHINA. My husband and I are home in Canada now and my passion for writing has blossomed.
