Biography

I was born and raised in Western New York State and in 1997 moved to New Jersey. I have two grown daughters and a grandson. When I can be pried away from the computer, I enjoy walking, cooking, gardening, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends. Because I was raised in a small city, many of the locations in my books have a small town or small city setting. Reflecting back on my childhood, and the interactions and values of the people in the community has definitely come to play in my books. My story ideas can spring from a stranger walking down the street, a conversation in the supermarket, my personal experiences, and the experiences of family and friends. I am published by Devine Destinies, Hard Shell Word Factory, The Fiction Works and Whiskey Creek Press.

Inspiration

My late grandmother used to say that as a preschooler I started drawing pictures and making up my own storybooks. I used to make up stories for my younger siblings (I come from a family of 10 children) and then began writing them down as I got older. I've loved writing from as far back as I can remember. I knew at the age of twelve that I wanted to be a writer. I've always been an avid reader and with my vivid imagination, as a young child, I began writing stories about my family and friends and it evolved into a passion with the written word.
