I am the author of mystery novels including Twenty-Five Years Ago Today and Sink or Swim, as well as the patriotic children's picture book The Flag Keeper.
Biography
I am the author of arresting mysteries from light to literary, perfect for book clubs or the beach. My debut mystery novel, Twenty-Five Years Ago Today, and my second mystery suspense novel, Sink or Swim, are both available in trade paperback and multiple ebook formats. I am a past recipient of the William F. Deeck - Malice Domestic Grant for new mystery writers. I'm also the author of the patriotic children's picture book The Flag Keeper. My paranormal young adult thriller, Dark Before Dawn, is scheduled for release in January 2012. I have written more than 2,000 articles and won over a dozen writing awards, including recognition from the New England Press Association, Parenting Publications of America, Suburban Newspapers of America and the Stuttering Foundation of America. I'm also a winner of the American Cancer Society New England Chapter’s Sword of Hope Media Award. My feature articles have been distributed over the Associated Press New England news wire. My young adult novel Face-Off, about twin brothers competing on the hockey rink for their father’s approval, was published by Avon Books when I was 18 years old under my maiden name, Stacy Drumtra. After years of working as a reporter, I now concentrate on writing fiction and freelancing. I have produced many award-winning articles for a regional parenting magazine and my nonfiction has appeared nationally in The Writer and ByLine. I am trained in Reiki, a form of hands-on healing which I practice on friends and family. My other hobbies include doing Tai Chi and reading mystery novels.
Inspiration
As a child, I loved mystery series including Trixie Belden, the Bobbsey Twins, Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys and the Dana Girls. I started writing mystery stories as a child and never stopped. I love reading, and writing, a good puzzle.
