Biography

I was born in San Diego, California and now live in Southern Oregon with my husband, Bob, a dog named Dallas, and a cat named Amber. Some of my writing stems from my growing up in the Redwood forests of Northern California and my love of animals. My dream was to live in the woods and write for children...and I'm doing that! I have been writing for ten years and have three children's books in print, on CD and as downloada with Guardian Angel Publishing, and publishing credits with Babybug, Ladybug, Children's Playmate, Hopscotch, Highlights for Children, Wild Animal Baby, Wee Ones, Pack-O-Fun, Bread for God's Children, Dragonfly Spirit, Holiday Crafts for Kids, Stories for Children, The Friend, Story Friends, and Holidays & Seasonal Celebrations.

Inspiration

My writing was inspired by my place as the oldest of four children. Being the oldest wasn't always fun. I often had responsibilities I wasn't comfortable with. I also felt the lack of spirituality in our household because my parents had differing religious beliefs that left a void in our upbringing. I was shy and sensitive and loved animals. All of these things have a place in my writing. I hope my writing can help children to be compassionate toward people and animals so that we might have a more peaceful world.
