Biography
Sasha George, April 23, 1973 I was born under the astrological sign of Taurus and have the privilege to share a birthday with Williams Shakespeare. I feel these two aspects really play core to my creative personality. However, you can say art has always been in my veins. I was introduced to it at a very young age from my grandfather and mother. They helped me view the world in various perspectives. My grandfather was a very simple artist. He would find people and draw their poses in a traditional anatomy style. My mother instilled with me the color theory of painting. She may disagree with me but she had ways to illuminate stories within her vibrant color paintings. I had the traits of an artist but it was attending ‘The Art Institute of California,’ that really brought out my ambitions to find all tools necessary to expand my artistic skills. The teachers were grueling to prepare you for artistic critiques. It was like boot camp and I loved it. I can officially say I’ve earned my Associates Degree Now each piece I innovatively create has a story behind it. Some about my past experiences and about others I’ve observed. What encourages me the most is when others come to me and say, “Sasha, you inspire me. I feel like I can strive for so much more.” To me that is a most remarkable statement about what I attempt to create. I want to heal others emotionally. I want them to escape their trials and tribulations and find strength as I did in my life. (Sasha - means helper to mankind. I think that summarizes me up perfectly.)
Inspiration
I have always had a hard time articulating my ‘poetic nature’ verbally. I always wanted to convey a sort of dynamic eloquence or poetic ingenuity but fell short relating it orally. That is when I began to depend on artistic expressionalism which comes in artworks or writings, anything I could seep my hands within and omit that gleeful sound from using the right adjectives to speak not so plainly. What truly extracted my nature was role-playing (text base). I viewed how intricate a scene was when having to interact with other writers. A sort of intensity sitting at the poker table what will happen next? This inspired me the most even if some of the writings were not so graceful in modesty. I found pleasure expanding my storytelling verbiage whatever the storyline. Naturally one grows in other directions and winning the Poet of the year. An attending the Art Institute of California I became hungry. A creative hunger that yearn to excel rapidly and then I had to face the bestial notion of putting my work before the world? Did I have the strength? Could I permit others to love my creativity as I did, or the storytelling behind it? It wasn’t until I had forumlated a blood clot in my main artery which nearly killed me. I found myself at a cross road that made me find courage in myself an strength to project my artistic side without phobia, at least before I loose myself to nature’s grueling siren called Death? Liberated from my chains I now pursue giving other people inspirations. Giving them something to look upon and say they feel the power and personality behind it. That it has affected them in some way. This is what made me who I am and inspired me to be known as Sasha’s Innovations. [http://sashasinnovations.com]
